When I play custom battles mixing Shogun 2 and Fall of the Samurai, it feels really cool and epic. And you need to keep your modernisation level low so you get the expierance and reinforcment bonus to the trational ones, since you need a whole lot of them to match the modern units. There are hardly any tech-tree improvements for the tradtional units. I am sure this has to do with historical accuracy, but I can't help to feel that the game isn't what I wanted.įirst off, the traditional units are much less costeffective, which I can live with, but when the unitroster is lacking so much its not that fun to play a traditional army, you can only do so much.Īnd the feel that the game doesnt allow for playing with traditional units very well is kinda sad.
